Supafine! » Blog Archive » Hold me now, don’t start shakin’

Aww geez, you had to mention introducing yourself at Blogher! Won't our name tags have our blogs on them? (and what if we do change our blog name or something... I thought about a few weeks ago, since I am always long in bed before the wee hours. We have lights out (and computers off) around here. )

Of course, name tags sets off other anxiety...like where to put it. Yeah, I have heard over the right breast for shaking hands (maybe if I don't, no hand shaking? hey!) Left belt side for convention halls. Huh? What if I am not wearing a belt? Besides, despite the line up of sponsors, I doubt it will be anything as wild as say a homeschool convention hall. (fabulous, scary places, built to appeal and repel the supa-mommy in all of us) Or we could all go the traditional over the left breast approach. But the over the breast approach always is troubling...too high up? too low down? too nipple-y? And, I have the, uh, as Denise calls it "heavy breasted" thing going on.

Sigh. I think I will con the children into a game of Dream Life. The people in the game always introduce themselves. Observe and practice. Observe and practice.

Why not just put it on your back? or your left shoulder or something? Heck, break with tradition and go nametagless. That's always my preference.

Why not on your butt? It opens all kinds of opportunities for butt shots!

Seriously...maybe you'll luck out and they'll have them on lanyards. That's what happened at the last few conferences I was at.

Right breast. That way the person who's hand you are shaking has it right in front of them, um... more or less, allowing for height differential.

Denise, there is also the possibility of wearing the name tag and going topless.

Not a choice I'd make, though... not that anyone would notice.

I agree to wear it on your butt. Ohh better idea, how about on your forehead??

Do not encourage toplessness, folks. It's going to be hard enough for me to keep her fully clothed as it is. Geez, you all KNOW this from EXPERIENCE.

I'm pretty sure that raye was out of the room at that moment. Actually it may have been just me, the redhead and Lav...

And TW mentioned that she might be wearing a belt but she didn't say anything about not wearing a shirt. ;-)

Yup, I was who knows where, but then my brain never quite made the journey anyway.

TW would never pull her top off at blogher. She wouldn't dare. Would she? Nah.

Oh good grief. As you ALL know, I had just gotten out of the hospital and was on some serious medication. And you were all girls.

Not only that. I knew all of you. GEEZ.

Yes, I will stay attired at the Blogher...well...unless NakedJen...no...wait...I will definitely stay clothed.
